Mitra Twin Bag is a Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis Bag System with an integrated closed system.
Twin Bag contains sterile and non-pyrogenic dialysate supplied in medical grade flexible PVC bags. The CAPD solution is provided in the primary bag with medication ports for infusion.
The primary bag and drainage bag are connected through tubing and a connector, creating an integrated closed system. Peritoneal Dialysis works by creating an osmotic gradient across the peritoneal membrane through dextrose, which supports the transfer of toxic substances and metabolites from blood into the dialysate.
